In Towards a Liberal Future, David Howarth and Bernard Greaves set out their view of liberalism. They look at how the party has failed to practice and communicate its core values and they set out how we can fix this.

The authors have a long history in the party. It’s nearly 40 years since Bernard Greaves co-wrote “The Theory and Practice of Community Politics” and 10 years since he co-wrote “The Theory and Practice of Community Economics.” 

David Howarth is a former Liberal Democrat MP for Cambridge and councillor who has returned to academic life since he stepped down from Parliament.
